The Most Popular Voodoo Lab Effects

By Jimmy Jones

The 60s and 70s gave birth to some of the most popular effects pedals and Voodoo Lab Effects are aiming to replicate those products with their very own range of effects pedals. They are stored in die cast aluminium cases and each effects pedal and analogue and hand wired. Let's assess what makes some of their most popular products some of the hottest on the market today.

Pedal Power ISO 5

This pedal is most commonly used for rack shelves or for smaller pedalboards. However, they have a secondary use in that they act as an extra power supply for larger boards. Between effects, they remove any interference and ground lips giving an improved tone and a lower noise. The fact that the output solutions are isolated allows this to occur.

Wahzoo Wah

Wahzoo is a versatile effects pedal from he popular Wah brand. It sees a combination of a funk-approved autowah, true bypass via gold contact replay, the best wah tone and a programmable step. The Wah Wahzoo is capable of producing a vast array of quality sounds.

Pedal Switcher

Pedal Switchers solve the problem of a traditional pedalboard where when the effects are switched off, the signal is still transmitting through numerous patch cables, solid- state switches and tone-trashing buffers. All of the classic and modern stompboxes can be used with Pedal Switcher and that pure "straight to amp" sound more than present. You can, in effect, use any pedals you wish without having to worry if your vintage fuzz is being destroyed by the buffer. By using it in conjunction with a Commander, you have at your disposal, an unlimited number of Pedal Switcher units which allows you to store combinations of pedals.

Commander

Commander allows presets to be stored for an unlimited number of Pedal Switcher units which lets you focus on your performance as opposed to tap dancing. There are ten presets, all customisable and the Commander itself is phantom powered by the Pedal Switcher. This combination allows you to construct your dream pedalboard and makes for an improved sound as well as less work on the stompbox.
