Roland Cube 60 guitar amp

Roland Cube 60 is the largest member in the Cube family of Roland guitar amps. This amp features COSM technology from Roland which enables it to achieve tones and sounds derived from real amps. Here's what they say about it from the Roland US website:

The new CUBE-60 brings Roland’s acclaimed CUBE amplifier line to new levels and larger venues. The CUBE-60 is wickedly powerful for its size — the most powerful and versatile CUBE you’ve ever heard, thanks to the newly developed 12" speaker, specially tuned amplifier, nine potent COSM® amp models, pro digital effects, and versatile outputs.

  • Powerful 60-watt output, compact 12" speaker design
  • 9 COSM guitar amp models, including JC, British Combo, and R-Fire
  • New Dyna Amp feature enables smooth and expressive tone transitions based on picking dynamics
  • 6 classic built-in effects, including Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Tremolo, and independent Delay/Reverb
  • Recording/Phones output, Line out, Tuner out, and Ext Speaker out
  • Channel switching, delay/reverb, and effect on/off control via optional footswitch

I actually purchased one myself. I can tell you this is one heck of a powerful amp. If you have a crowd of 500 people I really believe this baby can still take it. I like the fact that it has modeling amps like the British Combo which emulates the Vox AC30 amp. Really nice tube sound and does react to your picking dynamics. The effects are not really my cup of tea because I think their level is a little bit too high and of course you can't tweak it much. Also there's some kind of noise gate built in so don't expect any feedbacks after song ending or something like that.

Overall, I still love it! Built tough and straight forward kind of amp. My Mexican Fender Strat seems to like it. Mine is made in China though. Oh and it also has line out, recording out and stuff so it's really stage and studio friendly. Use your headphones so you will not disturb your neighbors.
