You are a classical music fan. It can relieve stress and it makes you feel more relaxed. Every week, as much as possible, you find time to watch the musical act of your favorite orchestra. There is an instrument that got your attention and it is the violin. Violin shops can be found everywhere including the internet. There are free lessons but it will be hard if you do not seek professional help.

Some of the active international artists are Vanessa Mae and the Americas all time favorite, Joshua Bell. You have decided to learn more about different kinds of instrument used in the orchestra. Remember, it is an expensive hobby. You need to set your mind, soul, body and your budget.

There are four kinds of violins: the violin, cello, viola and the double bass. It is a string instrument and it consists of four strings and was tuned in perfect fifths. It is also the highest pitched out of the violin family. It is derived from the middle Latin word vitula which means stringed instrument in English.

Try listening to it; you will feel that it brought you back in the earliest century full of knights, royalties and balls. Located in Central Asia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia are said to be the first country to use such instrument.

The appearance is quite different from an ordinary violin. Morin Khuur, a stringed instrument from Mongolia, is said to have 2 strings. The stringed family has the same appearance unlike the Morin Khuur, it was long and it has a square shaped sound box. The usual instrument was played by putting your chin in the rest pad but in the Mongolian instrument, you use your legs and lap and play it upwards.

If you planned on taking a tutorial for this instrument at your age, search for the best tutor or school that have a good background because if you fall for the wrong hands, you will just waste your time, effort and money. It is much better if you have a relative or a friend that knows how to play the instrument.
