The Allen Organ Company has a longstanding reputation for quality of craftsmanship when it comes to the wonderful instruments. Allen Organs have been widely used over the past many decades and continue in popularity. Family run, it has accomplished much for itself and the organ and music industry as well.

The company is a leader in the industry. When they began, back in 1937, it was Jerome Markowitz and family. The location was Allentown, Pennsylvania and is where the company name came originated. Over the years, and with special care, the family has grown the business into an industry leader.

Allen instruments can be found in churches and halls around the world. Last count but the country sum at around 80. As far as the number of instruments, the last count of that was around 80,000. In 1971, the company made a major breakthrough in the music industry. They applied for a patent on technology for the first digital musical instrument. At this time, there was no talk of a digital revolution. Analog was king.

Not only was the first digital musical instrument created, but this new technology would be used much in the future. It will eventually aid in the development and refinement of such products as cds and computer sound cards. This is so notable that the Smithsonian bought one for their collection, which is a high honor. To many, this is the highest compliment any producer can have.
