Enjoy Fall Camping Concerts in A Festival Tent

By Joe Schumpeter

With the arrival of summer and start of the festival season, folk from all over the UK pack up and start heading out to enjoy music, fun and the sun at one of many music festivals. There are one or two important bits of gear that can make holidays far more fun and the main one is a holiday tent. When you go camping for a festival you aren't going on a massive expedition and not going to climb a massive mountain. So you need something which is straightforward and contented. Happily there is a vast range of holiday tents available on the web and they do not need to cost the earth.

Picking a Holiday Tent

First off you should note you are looking for a festival tent which is inexpensive. You do not wish to take an especially good tent along that would normally be used for mountaineering, as it can get ruined unnecessarily. Folk will be quite bladdered in the season and smoking varied legal and illegal things and sparks will be flying around which can damage your costly tent. A tent which is cheap and simple to set up would be the ideal choice.

The tent's weight will be of lesser significance compared with when you set out on an expedition. Space and comfort should be more vital than lightness. You will need some vertical space as you are probably going to socialise within your tent in bad weather. The only thing to see is that it pitches easily and is sufficiently good to keep you dry.

Quite a few folk prefer popup tents. These are good options typically because of the fact that they can be set up simply and provide fair amount of vertical room. The other good choice is a dome tent but they can sometimes be a bit burdensome to pitch as you want to thread the poles using the clips in the right places. Though not a complicated procedure it'd prove to be too much for a beginner.

It's critical for holiday tents to have good weatherproofing. The summer in UK is not going to be all sun with clear weather. So be prepared for the mud and being in damp environment.

First of all make sure that the tent has a groundsheet which is raised. These are sometimes called tub groundsheets as they're raised a couple of centimeters above the ground level to avoid the water.

Secondly make sure your tent has taped seams. This indicates that there's a waterproof tape covering the stitched piercings. Many tents have this now but always make sure so that you don't have water entering thru your floor.

Another crucial item in your festival gear is to get a unique flag or some other attachment which will help you find your tent. There will be thousands of these tents and it's straightforward to get lost among the melee of cheap tents as many of them will be looking alike. This is an issue when many people have bought their inexpensive tents from the same shop and it's going to be like the little dog who could not find his family at the beach because all umbrellas looked similar.

Getting a proper tent light is also vital festival gear. There are inexpensive ones available that use LED bulbs and these can last a very long time as they barely use much of the battery power. Compared to an ordinary torch or head torch, they give a strong beam of light and are handy for finding things inside the tent or just to read or while eating.
