The Most Talented 10 Guitarists

To create a top ten list of the most talented guitarists is a very difficult task. The classification and the list itself are of course subjective. But one thing is sure, all the artists have something in common and this is the talent to play the guitar, even it is acoustic, classical, electric or bass. They simply transform their feelings in musical notes and the instrument itself turns into a feeling translator. There are thousands of remarkable guitarists in the history of music.

Jimi Hendrix brought new elements with his personal playing style. The artist had an almost human relationship with his instrument. The electric guitar was capable of amazing sounds. He preferred the "wah wah" guitar effects pedals pedals and revolutionized Rock & Roll.

Django Reinhardt is also known as the gypsy guitarist, an unforgettable talent. The artist was the victim of a caravan fire. He survived but his hand was severely wounded. Even if he had two paralyzed fingers, he was able to play the guitar better than anyone else. Gypsy-jazz line became famous thanks to Django.

Steve Vai is easily recognizable by his athletic performances, full of energy. The artist has an unmistakable and mystical melodic line. Steve Vai continually improved his techniques, managing finally to make his guitar sound like human voice. The exotic guitars are his favorites.

If somebody is talking about electric blues, than is talking about Eric Clapton. The music God, as he often was referred to, is deeply influenced by the American blues. The crown is still abiding on the head of the Blues King, B.B. King. He plays songs with a surprising passion and dedication, although he is 76. Combining jazz, mainstream pop, blues and string he created a new music sound.

Rock and blues left their mark on Joe Satriani's style. He was a member of Deep Purple, and also played with Mick Jagger. Slash became famous for two things: his solos and his unusual image - top hat, a cigarette and curly long hair covering his face. He was the lead guitarist in Guns'n'Roses. He is a guitar collector.

Carlos Santana convinces us that the world has magic, every time he plays guitar. His melodic line can be easily recognized due, to the combination of various styles rock, blues, jazz, Fusion, Latin, Afro-Cuban and Salsa. Kirk Hammet became famous by his speed in playing. Metallica's lead guitarist is also known as a very disciplined person, continually learning the skill of mastering the guitar. Jimmy Page radically influenced the evolution of the famous band, Led Zeppelin. He is considered to be the creator of the "reverse echo" technique
