Corporate Products Augment The Company Income

By Darren Chow

There are businesses that highly benefit from the income that corporate products bring. The money that comes in from these items propels the business to get better while waiting for the turnout for their primary commodities. Without question, the sports and music industries enjoy this scenario due to the fanbase that can trigger a bandwagon outcome.

If a sports team would rely on just ticket revenues per game for income, the entity would easily fold. This is why they also put on the market other items that bear the logo and tag of the team. Sports uniforms sell like hotcakes and the money acquired from it goes to the operational expenses of the franchise. Aside from owning the sport shirt of their favourite player, fans would also buy autographed memorabilia, team shirts, caps and even luggage.

To create a continuous stream of income, sports franchises also sell seasonal items like coats for the winter season and beach umbrellas for summer. To cater to their young market, sports teams also sell stuffed toys that carry the team's logo and cards that they can exchange with their friends. If the sales of the team's merchandise are strong, they will constantly post profits even if the team is not doing well.

Also, music companies sell merchandise that have the names, logos and faces of their artists aside from album itself. Rather, they increase their income by releasing magazines or videos that provides the ultimate fan experience. The video collection can enclose never before seen footages, official music videos with commentary and all-access interviews if the musician is on tour.

To enhance their profit, recording companies even sell artist equipment and dolls. The most avid fans do not hesitate in buying these items once they hit the shops. Indeed, the corporate products that sports franchises and music companies sell drive their business to greater heights. However, the revenue from these items is endangered when the team performs poorly or when the artist gets involved in a scandal.
