I had VLC tuned to increase the bass output of the Rosewill headphones, and the second I switched to the Sony's I noticed I could raise the bass slider a whole lot more with out distorting the audio. Every other song, it sounds average. For the cost it's very good. This may have to do with the predominantly plastic bodyparts, but if you don't plan to use this as a rugby ball, I believe these headphones can last a while. Cable is also much thinner, and these headphones aren't top end at all. They are possibly the greatest headphones in the budget range. These headphones are perfect for the cost. Overall it's acceptable.

They are not portable whatsoever, but overall excellent for the cost and they are excellent headphones. The arc on top of the head makes it touch hair everytime and hurt a bit, occasionally I must go and give my head some relaxation. The foam padding is extremely comfortable and I often put them on to sleep, seeing how the stop external noise quite well.

I had been very pleased with the cord length too becasue it is really long and I could possibly get up and walk off to a large part of the room if I need to. I put them on for hours while working and end up forgetting I am wearing them so comfortable enough. I'm certain the headband was created to make the entire unit more lightweght, but boy, I sure take care using the two thin strips of plastic which hold the right and left sides together. They're comfortable and sound great. It was among the best purchases I've made!

The bass is extremely light, you can barely feel it if you aren't listening to rock songs. When it comes to comfort, the headset is really a mixed bag. For me it doesn't truly make a difference, as I'm going to be using them at home, however for others this may be something to consider. I ordered those to replace some Sennheisers that I gave to my hubby.

Nevertheless, I apologize to say the second I put these on, I realized I'd not be able to continue with them.

Normal headphones either trigger feedback (a frustrating whistling sound) from the assistive hearing devices or require that the assistive hearing devices be totally eliminated in order to use the headphones. I've had them on now for 45 minutes and they did not bother me whatsoever (Unlike HD280 Pro I mentioned above). Colleagues adjacent to my cube can listen to almost anything I play.

The moment I received this Sony MDR-XD200, I needed to return it. Spend a little more cash and get an excellent set of infrared wireless headphones.
