Nice Sound High Quality - Auvio Wireless Headphones Review
Posted by Kay Stanford Jr Kastum at 4:59 AMThis is a complaint I've had in other headphones that either didn't have enough padding in the headband, or the ear cups, or were not adjustable enough. Perfectly surrounds your ears (as opposed to 'open-air' which press against your ears), and the headband is thickly padded.
The rechargeable batteries last a really long time, and charge very quickly. The base station is stylish, and the charge mechanism is really easy (there are three contact points on the top, and when you rest your headphones on top, it charges them).
Yes, but you get what you pay for. I absolutely love them. I am very pleased in all respects. The sound quality is excellent -- on par with expensive, cable-connected phones.
That said, contrary to how these headphones are described on Amazon, these headphones DON'T have "dynamic surround sound." I wish they did and I wonder why they don't, as the lower-level Model RS 170 headphones have surround sound.
It is not like the way other manufacturers design their earphone. I am able to hear the sound around me and yet without having the compromised sound quality.
Also, you have to turn the base on to listen to stuff. The previous models turned on automatically when there was a signal. I wanted wireless headphones with good battery life, sound quality, and comfort. I use these headphones for music, movies, and gaming. I find having the base besides the TV flashing at me all the time even more annoying than the complete idiocy of buttons that you can't feel. This is utterly ridiculous engineering. If you're going out jogging for miles, don't take anything for granted. Take in mind the open design though; if you're in the same room as someone who's planning on sleeping, you can't turn these up too high. I will experiment with them soon and update this review. Range can severely suffer if you start walking around corners or have too much between the headphones and the transmitter. I called Sennheiser customer service and they said to continue to use them and this would correct itself and if not to get back to them. They were easy to contact and their response was correct.
One other complaint, both the base unit and the headphones automatically shut off when the headphones are being recharged. Then both must be turned back on to use the headphones. Ah, I get it, customer meaning I have to customize the product. I bought these for work (at home.) I wanted something wireless, of decent quality with good range. I have not heard any interference or distortion due to it being wireless. These are the best wireless headphones ever.
