The Basic Facts About Jason Chen

'Music Never Sleeps' is the motto of singer and songwriter Jason Chen. This Los Angeles native performs a variety of musical styles, including rhythm and blues, pop, and covers of popular songs. He is known for his live performances as well as his Internet presence.

Jason is Chinese American and has both an English name and a Chinese Name, Yitong Chen. He was born in November of 1988 and lived in California for most of his life. He graduated from the University of California in LA in 2010.

Through a series of single tracks and eventually a full length album, Gravity, Jason began releasing his original music in 2011. His singles include Best Friend, Just for a Moment, Reintroduction, Here I Am, and When I Get Home. All but When I Get Home were included on the album. Best Friend is actually included twice, sung once in English and once in Chinese.

The Gravity album was released on CD, which could be purchased online through one of Jason's sites. It could be bought by itself, or come with a gift set of two wristbands. The singles were released as digital files that could be purchased and downloaded immediately from the Internet.

Jason also has on online retail store where he sells merchandise covered in his motto and song titles. Products include t-shirts, tank tops and wristbands in assorted colors. His album is for sale through the online store and can be purchased as part of a special package that includes wristbands.

Aside from profiles on social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook, Chen has his own channel on video sharing site YouTube. Here he posts music videos for both his original songs as well as cover versions he has done of songs by artists like Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, and Justin Beiber. Some live performance clips, studio clips, and personal message videos are also available for viewing through YouTube.
